When it comes to scaling globally, supply chain speed can make or break a brand’s growth. That’s where Portless steps in. Founded by Izzy Rosenzweig, Portless is redefining what “fast shipping” means for e-commerce brands by cutting traditional lead times from months to days. Instead of waiting for bulk shipments to cross oceans, Portless enables direct fulfillment from Asia, meaning inventory can go live on Shopify within days of production. The result: faster sales cycles, better cash flow, and the kind of operational agility most brands only dream of.

We sat down with Izzy to talk about the light-bulb moment that inspired Portless, why the old logistics model is broken, and the biggest shift brands should be watching in global commerce.

How would you describe Portless to someone hearing about it for the first time?

Portless helps Ecommerce brands speed up their supply chain with direct fulfillment – a fundamentally new way of managing your supply chain that provides faster sales, better cash flow, and more inventory agility. Fulfill customer orders from Asia within 6 days, providing a total domestic experience (including local labels and tracking numbers). Brands using Portless users cut their lead times by 90%, increase cash flow 3x, and can ship to over 55 countries helping fuel their growth and international expansion.

When did you realize this was a massive problem you needed to solve?

I was running my own brand and realized that we couldn't grow without solving our supply chain issues as we were caught in a cash conversion crunch with inventory spending too long to arrive before we could sell it.

What’s one common misconception brands have about this problem?

That logistics has to be done the "traditional" way of making bulk orders and putting them in a container to cross the ocean. Everyone hates this model, but everyone also thinks that is the only way of doing business when it's not.

How did your background prepare you to build Portless?

Being a Ecom founder I experienced this pain first hand, but it wasn't until I met an executive from Alibaba that really opened my mind to what is possible in the logistics and supply chain space.

What’s the feature customers fall in love with first?

That your inventory can go from your manufacturer to live, for sale on your shopify store in 1-2 days after production. The eureka moment for brands is that the moment they realize they can start selling immediately, they realize how much more money they can make and re-invest into their business.

What makes Portless different from other logistics solutions?

Regular domestic 3PLs are great, but they still rely on the old logistics model and lead times. We go upstream to solve the root issue while still providing the same speed and experience as a domestic 3PL partner.

What’s a major shift happening in your industry that brands aren’t talking about enough?

Tariffs, country of origin!

What’s one lesson you learned the hard way while building Portless?

That your team makes or breaks your success. Every hire you make has the potential to level up or drag down the business, so it's incredibly important to invest in hiring and growing a high-performance team.
